    Engine die's going into neutral

    I have a 1996 Bayliner with a 5.7L Mercruiser, carborated, with an Alpha I gen II drive. The problem is that most the time I take the boat out of gear (forward or reverse, it doesn't matter) the engine dies on me. Any idea's would be appreciated. GF
