    I have never changed the water pump on my 03 50hp mercury outboard and am thinking about changing it. It is still pumping water it's just not as strong a stream at idle or low rpm.     Tach not working

    The tach for my 03 50hp has stopped working. I have a meter and was told to check the hertz reading from the motor. Does anyone know what the reading should be at idle? The tach also has a tag on the back that says it has been calibrated. If I have to replace it will it have to be calibrated...

    02 50hp mercury has no spark

    My 02 50hp mercury has no spark on none of the plugs. The last time I used the boat the tach didn't move and I was getting it ready to go fishing and it would not crank. I pulled the plugs and no fire at none of the plugs. Put new plugs in and no difference. Motor has never had any problems...
