    Actually it's supposed to be a 50 hp 2 cylinder. But when you check the serial numbers it shows to be different. I bought it as a50 hp so I assume it should be

    I think it's B139243. Best I could do .. Last couple of numbers were worn.

    After installing the two carbs install started the engine ... it started but maxed out rpm's. I checked installation, carbs were installed properly. But, on the top carb, the linkage that moves the butterfly is not connenected to anything. I looked everywhere but the is no indication of a link...

    Well, it appears that the hyd release bolt has been broken. I made a complete turn and the top of the bolt came out, but the remaining part of the bolt did not come out. Now I'll have to remove the entire tilt and trim. All bolts removed except ....the part that is an issue is the bolt holding...

    1985 Mariner 50. Motor works but engine will not go up or down. Any idea?
