    Volvo aq131d lacking power

    I took boat out for first time I took boat out for first time since last year.never could get up to plane the highest I could go was about 2600 rpm lacking power underload runs fine until put in gear .got worst and was backfiring out of carb and ticking noise.could this be timimg or a valve issue?
