    I did some more digging, the plastic part where the water comes out was just clogged. Works good now

    I’m very new to boating, I got a cheap 1979 6hp evinrude. The tell tale did work when I bought it. Now when I start it up water only comes out of what I believe is the exhaust pressure release port. Should water instantly come out of the tell tale? Or since it’s been out of water for a few weeks...
