    Evinrude Triumph 70 HP Year?

    I have a Evinrude Triumph 70hp and trying to find the year. Also having a load "knocking" sound. I'm thinking it might be a gear as there were larger metal shavings on the oil drain screw. Can anyone suggest something? Am I going to spend more trying to fix this than what the engine is worth?
