    Should I remove houseboat batteries for the winter?

    First time winterizing this houseboat. Is it better to leave the batteries in the boat with a multistage charger for the winter or should I remove them and take them home to keep charged? I have one deep cycle battery and two other regular marine batteries?

    Houseboat very hard to steer.

    My 1987 Waterhouse cruiser is very hard to steer. The boat has sat for a long time. This was it's first trip out this year. It has a Mercury outboard motor. I see some grease fittings near the steering wheel. Can I add new grease, lubricate the cables, or just try and replace them? Any suggestions?

    75 HP outboard high idle

    I have a 75 HP outboard on a houseboat. I think it is a 1990. When I start the motor it immediately runs like it is going full speed. It doesn't matter whether the button is pushed in on the throttle control lever or not. I checked the motor with the cowling open and could not see anything...
