    Newbee poster, hope i am in right place. History:Have a 1992 40hp 4 cylinder Mercury. About 4 years ago I swapped batteries with engine running and apparently melted some stuff. Took it to a repair shop and he replaced stater, wire harness and rectifier. I don"t think he replaced switchbox but...
