    I tried to retract anything I could get my eyes on, but can’t figure it out. Had my son take this video, but it won’t let me attach.? Any help is greatly appreciated.

    The responses about the throttle make sense. When I last started it with the pole cord, I had the throttle set too high and the engine really revved up. I have since moved it back to start. I assume you’re talking about the handle and not the mixture knob.

    I have 1976 6hp Evinrude. The prop turns. It starts and runs fine if you wrap rope around flywheel and pull. Flywheel turns freely by hand. When pulling cord to start the starter gear rises to engage flywheel, but won’t pull any further, as if it’s jammed. Is this fixable or just buy a new...
