    I just replaced the water pump on my j200txecm, and have a few random questions. First, when I pulled it apart, the seal to water tube was kind of squished in the pump, and was partly split, I am guessing this happened when it was last installed and my have been the main cause of my overheating...

    I removed the lower unit to replace the water pump and check the shift rod seals, clean the shift shaft housing and seals, so I had to remove the shift rod.
