    Finally got some time and here are the volt readings using a multi meter with the TPS harness plugged in. First numbers are idle second is WOT Idle: Pink. . .7 4.37 Pink/white. 2.8 4.68 Orange 5 5 Green 12.24 9.9 Green/red 11 12.26

    The scanner does show voltage change when the throttle is moved. It will probably be this weekend before I can get back to it and I will let you know what I find. I cannot thank you enough for your help.

    All of the connections are corrosion and damage free. I haven’t opened up the wiring harness and was trying to avoid doing so. I replaced the pulsar coil and timing belt and looked over the harness when doing so and didn’t see any issues.

    These units are compatible with Yamaha, Suzuki and Mercury. Any recommendations on what I should try next? If I am losing voltage at the TPS, do you think that’s the issue? I’m pretty good at troubleshooting and repairing mechanical items but fall short on the electrical.

    You are correct. It’s orange, not brown. It was dark when I first looked at it and it appeared brown. With the numbers being off, any idea what could be the cause?

    Here are the readings: Green/Red. .044 Green/Black. .044 Pink. .001 Brown 5.06 Pink/White. 0 Readings were the same with the throttle in neutral and WOT

    Using an Ancel MR500 scanner. After about 30 seconds or so, the engine runs extremely rough and shakes. After it warms up a little it gets better but still not like it should.
