    Leaking hydraulic fluid from steering guide tube

    I have an old Mercruiser 470 with hydraulic steering - no power steering- and recently noticed fluid leaking at the end of the steering guide tube where ram rod exits. Consequently have very unresponsive steering until I top up the fluid at the helm. I'm guessing theres an oil seal in the guide...
