    In-Line Fuel Filter Question

Thanks for the reply Texmark. Update: I took both carbs off and cleaned them really well. There was water in bottom carb bowl. I believe I got a bad batch of gas at the station. I always go ethanol free, but I suppose you can't always eliminate every variable. I have thoroughly cleaned...

    In-Line Fuel Filter Question

Hey All, I'm working on an '87 Mariner 45hp (4 cyl) and have a question re: my in-line fuel filter. I've got an OEM filter and I typically remove my fuel line after use via quick disconnect from my tanks (just for safety purposes). Is it normal for the fuel filter to lose all the fuel in it...

'87 Mariner 45hp Loss of power past 1/2 throttle.....completely stumped

I just wanted to post a follow-up to this thread b/c I know that step can sometimes be forgotten. Long story short, I bit the bullet and bought a used carb body for my lower one and cleaned it really good. I also adjusted the max timing advance since it was way off. Not quite sure how that...

Where to Find Replacement Carb Seat?

Hey fellas, I've got a Walbro WMA 6-3 carb (part# 6517A64) with a seat that has nicks and won't seal. I've tried everything with it disassembled, but it just won't shut off the fuel no matter what. The seat is pressed in from the factory and I'm needing yall's help in locating one. Do they (or...

    Mariner 45 Slowly Loses RPM/Surging

Alright, quick update... Polished the carb seats and needles really well. Got the floats to spec (replaced one that looked suspect). Took it on the lake today and it still was surging at WOT. Not as bad this time and it took longer for it to first occur. Ran great otherwise. Got home just now...

    Mariner 45 Slowly Loses RPM/Surging

Yes sir, I sure will. I'm gonna take the carbs off and break them down tomorrow. I plan on polishing the seats and needle valves to make sure they glide smoothly. I checked them out last week and I remember the needles being a little tight when I disassembled them. I just dismissed it at the...
