Hello everyone,
Firstly, really grateful to you all for all the help so far.
I have corroded Crankcase Valve Assys on my 1995 Yamaha 70hp 2 stroke. I’ve found replacement parts, but no idea how I remove the old and replace them? They have no threads.
It’s only two I need to change.
Thank you so much for your help. I’m paying an outboard engineer to come to my home and give me an hour of his time troubleshooting. But I do really appreciate this
That’s really kind of you to say. Honestly I try and learn new things outside of that which I have done before and end up feeling like I’m an idiot driving those that understand crazy 🤪
Attached is a photo of the solenoid. You will see connected to the positive pole is my lead that feeds to...
I have this photo from the bottom. It’s 1990s I think. She’s in pretty good shape and I’m trying to learn as I go Sir. I’m not any kind of engineer. I think I may need to get someone out to help me. I just wish I knew more about outboards.

I have a Yamaha 70b (old girl). Got her all hooked up to the battery. POS on the positive side of the solenoid, neg connected to the engine block. I’ve also connected the multi black main controller but when I turn the key, nothing.
The main controller connector coming from the outboard...
This is the holy grail I was looking for. And tomorrow I go buy a new multimeter and stop bothering people. Again, thank you for taking the time. Let me know if there is any way I can repay you.
