I have the 1977 4 HP twin. S/N 9320599. Made in Belgium. Mine is stuck in gear. I took the lower assembly all apart and I think it has something to do with the gear rod at the bottom. I wish I could find parts for this. If anyone could help, that would be great

I have the same issue. From what I've heard, it's the gear rod. Some spring release at the bottom that's either missing or broken. I took mine all apart and can't fix it. Parts are very hard to find as well. I'm hoping someone can help!
