    motor will run in crank position but stops when you let key go back to run position

    yamaha 225 2000

    have 225 2000, can take off slowly to 4000 rpm then cuts nout compleatly, if try to start off quickly will cut out right away. when it cuts out it violent shut down to lower speed . any ideas??

    using api code reader , shut down each cyl ,1 at a time found #4, #5 not working put in new plugs tested spark removed injector rail , cranked engine got good spray pattern on all ,compression at 175 on all cylinders . canged ecm with 2 others still no fire.

    rotted exhaust on 2006 yamaha225

    i have water in bottom 2 cyl of 2006 225 4 stroke , took head off ,looks like some rot under head in exhaust tube , could this cause water to intrude lower cyl.?

    2007 4 stroke idle high

    have a 2007 4 stroke 115 , the motor starts and runs fine but the idle after 15 seaconds goes to 1500 and stays there , therefore impossable to shift. any ideas?

    225 optimax driving me to drink [more]

    replaced ecu, dfi injectors, vst filters, plugs, coils,now something new ,will only run if I put finger over air intake and partially block opening,air and fuel pressure on the money,runs like crap, seems to have a little water in the air compressor lines, don't know if that is just humidity...

    ecm test for optimax?

    does anyone know of a definite test for the ecm? I have one dfi injector not fireing . have switched dfi injectors ,have tested leads from ecm to injector. can't find one specific test for ecm. this is for a 2000 225 0ptimax.

    shakes and sputters at high speed after 5 minutes if running. any ideas?

    tilt and trim problem

    anyone have a quick fix for stuck shuttle valve? trim and tilt seems to be in by pass mode all the time.
