    Well, the old one worked fine, so the signal should be reliable. VDO can't give me a straight answer whether the old model and the new model should use same signal or not, but I've tried all 4 DIP switch positions available and none work correctly. VDO 333-15272 is the new one N 02 012 196...

    Tachometer Replacement problem Yanmar

    Hi All, Have a VDO tach that is still working, trying to replace with a newer VDO but the new one works but not quite well enough.. Idle speed seems high and then it does not increase linear when engine revs up. Have tried all the available DIP settings, any other tricks to get it working...
