    Morning BT thanks for the info. Could you elaborate a bit more? Snap ring is the bearing retainer? And why can't it be greased? I also see there is a non-greased bearing option. Maybe easier to pop that in vs greased version, also see some original bearings still available.

    I know my out outdrive is a Mc-1 but seems there are many variations. The boat is an old Starcraft Holiday 21 ft Mc 165 hp inline 6 The only serial number i can find on the drive is 4443838 B I believe the boat is approx 1970...;. Runs like a champ I need a full transom kit with Gimbel...
