The brown stator wire. Cdi says it should be 150+ volts when disconnected. Which it is. But it’s also supposed to be 150+ volts when it’s connected to the power pack. Which it is not. Cdi says if that’s the case replace the power pack. Which I did but the new power pack does the same thing.
I did what CDI said to do. I used a fluke meter with a DVA adapter and checked DC voltage on the brown wire from the stator while it was connected to the power pack and while it was disconnected.

I have a 1977 55hp Johnson that has no spark. I tested the brown wire from the stator and as CDI manual says it has 230volt disconnected. When I connect the brown wire to the power pack it says I should have the same voltage but I only get 1 volt. The mainsail say if that’s the case...
