    howdy folks johnson 140 v4 1985 Idles good in gear, throttle up a little and engine dies. Hammer down throttle and she starts to go on plane, then dies.     86 140 v4 vro stalls when put in gear at quarter throttle

    good compression, fuel pump & system good, Idles fine, high idles fine. Put in gear & trolls fine, rev up to quarter throttle & dies. DOH! Help? please.
