First of all thanks to all those that helped me on this forum. Secondly when you get trash in your eye, use something eye appropriate, not carb cleaner. Less burning I'll guarantee ya. Who knew you could place the fuel pump gaskets in the wrong order even though they're shaped to fit one way...

After priming, Walbro carbs run good on fast idle, only to die after a few seconds. No low idle and I have to reprime the bubble in order to crank. Carbs are adjusted at 1 and1/2 turns. I've tried less but not more. How do you know if air might be getting sucked in to the system? No leaks...

Lower unit replaced on 1986 Merc Classic 50. Engages into gear fine but when you pour the coal to it, it remains in idle speed. No advance in rpms and when you return to neutral, it shuts off and is hard to crank. Carb issues? It has two of them. Thanks for any help

    Classic 50

I have a 1986 Classic 50. After having the lower unit rebuilt I am unable to slide it back on. I get within about an inch or more and seems like something is hitting. The shift lever is short with splines but it stops short of lining it up. Help.
