    I just purchased it for a project. The person I got it from had it leaning up against a fence standing vertically, with weight on the prop. That’s how the housing cracked. South Florida motor

    I just picked a 45 hp 4 stroke and noticed a crack on the lower unit. Is this a problem? Do I need to get it fixed/replaced before putting it in the water? Will oil mix with water through that crack? Thank you in advance!
