    starting working on pulleys and cable steering stuff - anyone knows where to find tension springs?? I think I will not have pulleys at the motor. Looking at the picture: right cable will go to the left and both will go forward to the steering on the side of the boat.

    as I am waiting for throttle cable - finally sealed plywood with an epoxy - finish is little rough, but fallowing coats of varnish should cure that. Planning the steering pulley/cable system.

    got the parts today and look - it's bigger so it will fit! ....and it did Did quick installation and testing/adjustment, and works like a charm!!!! Very pleased - to say at least! Now trying to find this rubber seal that goes around the cowling - MarineEngine does not have it...

    Actually this supposed to be a cable for 1977 motor - but I just got brand new cable that is for motor 1979 and up (which will fit the box - box is for motors 1979 and up also). So tomorrow I will try it on gear shifter....hopefully will have the time to post finding before going to work
