I have a 93 Evinrude 60hp that originally had a solid alarm that never would stop as soon as I turned the key on. After starting it ran fine but still constant alarm. I looked this up and found it was the temperature alarm. Since the alarm went off even when the engine was cold I disconnected and reconnected the temp sensor and this fixed that problem.
The next time I took it out I got an alarm every 40 seconds: low oil level. Thing is the oil level is full. To be certain I was getting oil to the motor I premixed oil in the gas, motor is smoking with the extra oil, steady stream of water cooling motor. At high speed it is very briefly cutting out as though missing a cylinder every so often (Seems similar to how it acted when the power pack went out two years ago - but it should not have gone out again).
Can anyone offer suggestions? Thanks!
