Hey all,
New to this all. Doing a repair on a Yamaha 15hp, F15MLX, so seems like 1999? The swing bracket is broken, so I need to replace it, but when I look up the part (66M-43311-10-4D, 63V-43311-02-4D) it looks as if the lower shaft is very short compared to what I'm seeing on the one I have. I'm attaching a photo but the shaft on this one is approx 5 inches, and the point of connection of the "lead 2 wire" lower down than on the one I see online. I've seen reference to "long shaft" swivel brackets, but still doesn't seem quite right. What do you think?
Thanks!

See that L in your model identity? It correlates with the length of the swivel bracket. L being for long. 20".
So when you go to the Yamaha parts catalog you select the swivel bracket that is long and not the short one.

Amazing! That makes sense thank so much. Quick follow up question - any advice on the best approach to remove/replace the current one?
