I have the 20crco with what I will call the non-locking/or non spring loaded shallow water latch.I saw in the parts diagram the electric start of that model has the spring loaded one.Parts diagram alittle confusing and they are set up differently as far as rope and electric.Anyone have a 20-35hp with this on?Bracket is different and requires at least one spring.Would I be able to just swap mine for one of those? My 9.9 hp has the spring loaded one.Not sure if the part that rests on pin is same width where it attatches .I prefer that style.Any help would be appreciated.thanks

I'm not sure exactly what part you are referring too, can you list the part number or number on diagram you are talking about? And correct me if I'm wrong but I get from your post it's a part that comes on a electric start model and you want to install it on your rope start model? Or the opposite way around generally you can swap parts if its within the same years and hp, it just boils down to cost if it's worth it

Look up my model 20crco in parts diagram.Look at the midsection drawing for the electric start.Part is #107....part number is 338657 among other springs/parts needed.I saw acouple of the parts on fleabay for sale.

I would say no unless your swapping out the the swivel bracket but it is hard to tell by diagram, if #74 is the same width on both models it might work but #74 is two different part numbers, maybe ur service manual will have better specs then diagram or maybe someone on here has done it sorry I couldn't help more
