I read several posts about the same problem
Did someone find the answer?
It start quickly and work well. Then it begin to be a little erratic at idle, but still ok.
It run very well above 2000 rpms, but if you stay between 1000 and 2000 for a while it begin to loose power and stall.
I changed the IAC valve but the problem persist. Could it be the MAP or TPS. Do anyone have any idea??
The Merc representative couldn t find anything wrong

change merc shops...it should have posted a code...if you pump the bulb does it help?..have you ever run old ethanol gas in it?

Hello all,
Has anyone tried the Throttle position sensor. After reading so many posts with similar symptoms, it seems to be the only logical solution. My 60 hp is doing the exact same thing. This is what I am going to try.

Hi, did you find this problem, I have the same engine with the same fault, it is driving me crazy, I have fitted known good ECU, TPS, Crank position sensor, I am just about to try a IAC of the known good engine

I have the same engine with the same problem & there are no fault codes or alarms at all, I have diagnostic software & all readings are correct, I have tried known good ECU, TPS & crank position sensor & none have fixed my problem, i am going to try a known good IAC tomorrow, will advise results

I have the same engine with same problem exactly, I have tried TPS, ECU & crank position sensor all off a known good engine, I will try the IAC of the known good engine & let you know results, did you ever get yrs fixed.

I am having the same issue on my 2014 Merc 50hp bigfoot, I have the bluetooth vessel view system and I get a throttle position sensor A error. I replaced with a new TPS and I think I might have installed it poorly because now I am getting these codes: 301-25 Throttle position sensor A - The input circuit for the sensor is below the valid limit and 351-6: Throttle position sensor A on mechanical throttle adapter - The device, calculation or process detected a fault.

The engine starts and runs ok at first, but if I go into gear and then back down on the throttle, the rpms will stay high and then start coming down. So I think the sensor is not responding appropriately. Before I replaced the sensor, the motor would drop out of gear and then turn off so something was wrong with the first sensor.

Is there a trick to installing the TPS sensor, like do you have to adjust the throttle or twist it a certain way to place it on the mechanical throttle tab? I really struggled to get it to line up while in neutral and had to press it on, which seemed to "snap" into place.

I have the exact same problem, Mercury 60hp EFI 2006 model, i have changed the IAC , new plugs, fuel filters x 2, new thermostat and new fuel line/hand pump but no luck, next I will try heat sensor then low pressure fuel pump.

Did you figure it out? I have a Mercury 2006 60hp EFI.

Throttle body is probably warped. I am having the same issue, had a Merc rep put it on his computer and could not find any codes or issues with anything showing a problem. Change the IAC, Changed all 4 coil packs, and plugs. After talking to other mechanics and Merc reps, they are finding and issue with the platic throttle bodies warping and at a certain RPM the motor dies or runs very rough.

No still have the same problem, will look at injector clean next.
