Year of my outboard

Hi all...
Can someone tell me the year of manufacture for
my mariner/yamaha 60hp

MARINER 60E
6FO 304089

There is also a letter P punched onto the nameplate

The year found depends with what method used. Running the serial has the model number to be 7060527 which makes it out to be a 1977 while the chart has it as an 1982. Either way here is your parts guide,
