Yamaha TiltTrim Release screw frozen

I posted this under a different thread on 2 Feb 2008 but no reply yet:

"The manual tilt release screw on my 1988 Yamaha 80hp (Japanese model) has frozen and cannot be moved. The motor is used exclusively in salt water so I am presuming this is a corrosion problem.

Is there an easy fix for this?"

As you will have seen from my email address I am in New Zealand and we probably don't have the product "PB Blaster" here. I have tried several sprays of CRC Marine as well as a product called Inox and also Fish Oil in an attempt to free up the screw. Was wondering if a few light taps with an impact screwdriver would help - but I don't want to damage anything!

Any further ideas would be appreciated...
