I have a T60TLRD that was converted to a tiller. I didn't know it at the time (not enough research) but it is geared differently then a F60. I am only able to get 26mph out of it and am wondering if a different pitch prop would help?
I messed with it last year moving the motor up and I was able to get more speed out of it, I was able to get 23mph when the cavitation plate was even with the bottom of the boat. Now I have it moved up 1.5" and gained the speed. I did try 3/4" but it didn't have much effect. the prop is a 3411-135-15. At 26 mph it starts to porpoise when I get it trimmed to the highest speed. I am assuming that I will need to drop it down some if I get a different prop also? possibly to 3/4" above the bottom of the boat
