Hi,
I'm new here but wondered if anyone could shed any light on my Ignition problem?
Recently the engine played up with a blocked jet, after leaving it for a few weeks I got around to fixing that but
then discovered that I had now no spark at all.
I did a few tests
1/ there is 150 volts dc at the plug leads
2/ there is 8 volts dc coming out of the CDI unit
3/ there is only 1 volt dc coming out of the pulsar or CDI charge coil I also tried AC on this and it appears that I had 26 volts out of the Charge coil and 4.5 out of the Pulsar.
4/ The Ohms readings for those coils were 96 and 112 which the manual I have says is good. (um if I followed it right that is)
5/ I did try new plugs and there appears to be no spark at all.
6/ I am not very good at this sort of thing, but I persevere!
Any suggestions would be gratefully received.
