yamaha 225 2000

have 225 2000, can take off slowly to 4000 rpm then cuts nout compleatly, if try to start off quickly will cut out right away. when it cuts out it violent shut down to lower speed . any ideas??

Sounds like a fuel delivery problem. Have someone pump the primer bulb while accelerating to see if that helps. If it does, check filters, hoses and connections.
