Wood finishes

Can I get some opinions about what the thoughts are about the products that are out there for finishing ext. wood on a boat. Whats the best, whats the worst? Why. Im refinishing my brothers '79 Chris Craft Catalina soon. Thank You!

I've been using Spar Polyurethane, but have not been terribly pleased with it. So I would like to heard some other opinions, too.

Im a painter by trade, so I've used just about every type of int/ext stain, paint , and varnish in the housing industry. Im not a fan of spar either.

Been trying too keep up with some teak on my boat for years, useing cleaners, stains and such. The sun hit's it and it last about a week so it seems. Found this stuff called C-TOL a stain- polyurathane in one. Brush it on and it last for more than a year and looks good. West marine got it, expensive but what isn't at west marine. Good luck.

i reconmend west marine 5star premium varnish made by epifanes got 7 coats on my torpedo looks great 3yrs later!!

i am also using Z-spar it i a gd you can go with it cost is also in the rage for all types of people
