won't start

I just got a Stratos fishing boat I guy I got it from said he never had the chance to use it because he couldn't start it ..all she does is crank. what can I do to help start it ..becides spaying starter fluid? what else should I do ? ? thanks in advance johnny
 
what engine is bolted on the back?

is the fuel line attached and primed up?

Have you checked for spark?

it's an 48 hp Everude .. and no priming. but thanks to you I remembered that I have to squeez that black rubber thats attach to the fuel line to prime it so I'll be doing that later when Im home ..most likely thats it thanks you much ..johnny

thank you thank you I had my son prime the motor which we forgot to do because it was so long since we got another boat ( Stratos ) but once he prime it it started right up .. can't thank you enough..johnny
