"Trying to get my OMC 120hp with a OMC 400 sterndrive to start. It has been sitting for three years and today was the first time I have tried to fire it up. I pulled the plugs and first put some automatic transmission fluid in for some lubrication. I went to turn it over and all I got was a "clunk" sound. I then put some wd-40 in it and waited a good two hours and still am getting that "clunk" sound. This is not the clicking like you get out of an automobile, this is one loud “clunk”. I know it is not the battery because I bought it this morning and have kept it on the charger so it is 100%. The propeller will turn while it is in gear also. I was going to try to turn it to see if it was seized, but there is no bolt on the front to get on. I was able to stick a screw driver in a hole on the bottom pulley and tap it a couple of times, but was unsuccessful at getting it to move. Is this a seized motor and if so what am I looking at for a replacement?"
