"I suppose this may end up in another forum.

Got an 86 Bayliner Capri, 19' with the AQ131 in it and I'm looking for a wiring diagram......seem to only have 6 volts on my anchor light...

Probably a ground but I want to be sure.

Thanks guys."

"Check all of your fuses under the dash, some of the circuits have two fuses also pull all of the fuses and clean then.. I have the exact same boat and had the same problem last year.. If you look up under the side rails you can trace all of the wires, Pretty easy to do.. Hope this helps.."

"Thanks, did that last week and that's when the problem started with the outdrive motor...

Seems Bayliner wired those wires TIGHT, I had to put a 3 or 4 inch extension jumper in just to get that panel back in and wired back proper.

Found the problem though, it's tied into the navigation lights - so the question now is - anchor light is ON (when switch is on) when the nav lights are OFF (?).

Strange but there's a purple wire that won't go hot until the nav lights are powered off - tested and retested but all is working now."

"Here is something I saved from a post a while back

Boat wiring was standardized quite a few years ago.

Far as I know, these are the standards:

Black--------All Grounds

Black with Yellow stripe------Magneto/short to kill

Gray------------Tachometer signal

Yellow with Black stripe---------Choke

Red-----------Unprotected(12V+)from battery

Red with Purple stripe-----------Protected(+12V)from battery

Purple-------------(+12V)from ignition switch

Tan-----------Overheat sensor to warning horn

Pink-------------Sending unit to fuel guage

Yellow with Red stripe----Ignition switch to starter solenoid

Yellow-----------------charging stator to rectifier

Lt.Blue with White stripe--------Trim up

Green with White stripe-----------Trim down

Some standard colors for boats since 1980 are as follows:
• heavy red 10 guage (main battery)
• heavy black (main ground)
• purple (ignition)
• yellow (starter solonoid)
• grey (tachometer)
• brown (temperature)
• blue (oil pressure)
• brown with stripe (alarm)
Accesories
• pink (fuel sending unit)
• yellow (blower)
• brown (bilge pump)
• grey (navigation lights)
• heavy green (bonding wire)
• red (misc electrical add-ons , vhf , depth finder, stereo, radar, power supplies)"
