winterization

I recently bought a Skagit orca 24 with a 2012 era 7.4l Volvo Penta. I winterized the boat according to the owner's manual and had a question. The instructions require you to drain the anti-freeze Side of the cooling system as well as the raw water side. Is this right... meaning necessary? It doesn't seem like draining the anti-freeze side would be required for winterization.

if it has the heat exchanger, and the coolant is in good shape, then no, you don't have to remove the coolant...
