Apologizing ahead of time if this question has been answered before. Sorry
I've got a spare gimbal bearing that I had in case I needed it for my previous boat that had a M/R Alpha Gen 1 transom and legs. The transoms had a zerk for servicing grease into the gimbal bearing. This spare bearing has the grease hole in the outer ring and I can see it has grease in it obviously from manufacture.
Question: Can I use this bearing in a Gen 2 transom that does not have the zerk? I'm thinking not, as there would be no way to grease it....I'm assuming this spare is not a permalube....am I right? (Unfortunately, I do not have the box it came in with the part number...darn).
