What year is my 3.5A SN: 309-1-60345

Just bought 22 ft Catalina sailboat w/ this outboard
water was not pumping out indicator tube . Replaced impeller and works fine
I would like to know more about it and do not know the year it was built
 
Most 3.5A motors were built in the 1990's. You can contact Tohatsu America at http://www.tohatsu.com/contact.html and they may be able to look up records for the year of manufacture for your serial number 60345. The M3.5A and B are great auxiliaries on boats like yours, because of their low weight. The A was dropped in favor of the B, which has neutral (the A starts in gear). All current models now have neutral.
