Hello,

What would be the correct firing order for a 2006 bayliner 3.0 mercruiser TKS. I found 2 diagrams for the 4 cylinder GM but not sure which is the one I need.

Please see attachments. The paper drawn one is my current firing order which i think is wrong and the 2 diagrams I found. Any help would be greatly appreciated guys! thanks.

Ed, I believe that either model uses the same cylinder firing order...... 1,3,4,2.

It would be the orientation of the spark plug cables into the distributor cap or the coil unit, that may be different....... yes/no?

BTW, looks like he does have the older model with a distributor.

What I am trying to find out is how the spark cables go. If you see my drawing and the other 2. They are different. So I may have them incorrect. I am having issues starting it and I think its because the spark wires are incorrect. By the way I have a 2006 Bayliner 175.

I had the same question 4 or 5 months ago, and I think it was btdoctor, sent me good diagrams, you might look back on the forum, my 3L is 2004, and the correct wiring for mine is the same as your paper 1342.

If you have a DDIS system you use those number to place the plug wires, if you have a regular dist you use 1,3,4,2 in a clockwise rotation DO NOT GO BY THE PICTURE . Verify #1 TDC and where the rotor is pointing in the cap you call that #1, then go 3,4,2 clockwise

Hi Bt Doctur. Thanks for your reply. Any easy way to tell if I have a DDIS system or regular distributor?

Here is the one I have if that helps.
