Well , done chasing ghosts. I found what i think is my bigest issues.

Been trying to get my 1992 evinrude 25 hp (te25elens) running right. So i went back to basics and rebuilt fuel pump ( which was jacked up by previous rebuild ) rebuilt and cleaned carb, still didnt wanna run right. So did a compression test and found 65 to 70 psi.
Is that too low to run properly?
I did locate a short block but not sure if it will work. Its from a 1989 part #432540.does anyone know if they are the same from 1989 to 1992 ?

Remove cylinder head to inspect motor.

Could be just a gasket, if not, I think an 89 will interchange.

I ordered head gasket , water jacket cover gasket and thermostat. Hopefully i will get this going this weekend.
