"I just bought the boat and found water in the oil and a compression check had #1 at 135 psi #2 at 90 psi #3 at 120 psi #4 at 140 psi I am assuming the head gasket is blown between 2 and 3. Is it possible i could have a cracked block also? I have no history on the boat other then what the guy told me that the person he bought it off of said it would be about 300.00 to fix it. I only paid $200.00 for the boat and the boat is in really good shape. I do have an older 3.0 liter merc in my old boat that is fine. But its a 1977. Where sould i start?
