I have a 91 Johnson outboard tiller. The boat was used 4 hours each of the last for days. Nothing went wrong. Woke up this morning to the alarm going off just sitting on the dock. Worked on the alarm for about 1 hour with wires and wiring. Disconnected wiring to alarm in tiller handle. Took it out for another two hours and motor worked perfect. Wondering if alarm is bad. Have had this motor for 33 years. 50 to 75 hours each year. It does not have a keyed ignition. Just push button on tiller handle area. It does have 3 wires to alarm. Cracks in wire coating but no broken wires. Steady stream of water and oil tank 3/4 full. Just buy new alarm and start there. Thanks, Pete.
