"It may sound like a dumb question, but since the garage I keep my boat in collapsed under the snow load, I have time on my hands. No major damage except for the loss of the windshield which I was going to replace anyway.
My question: Is replacing the alarm horn with a large dash mounted light a simple procedure of splicing into the wire and hooking it up to the light? Does it produce 12 volts to the horn?
My hearing went south years ago and my hearing aids automatically turn themselves down with the noise of the engine. I can't hear the alarm if it goes off."
