Want to add Tilt amp Trim to b76 Johnson 55hp

My father-in-law just picked

My father-in-law just picked up a boat with a '76 Johnson 55hp. I would like to add tilt & trim to this motor for him. Was it available from the factory on this engine?... and where might I find it?...used parts suppliers somewhere? Already looked at the ones from BPS and Cabelas. Thanks.

" I have a 1996 90hp johnson..the trim is stuck in the up position and wont go down...how to i get it down....the motor only works going up, dead switch when i try down.

The starter is also makiking a grinding noise when i start and sounds like something is getting hung up after it stsrts.
