volvo penta aq 140 engines. rebuild or replace ? sitting idle for 4 years.

hello forum i am a newbie with a problem.
i have a great opportunity to purchase a30 foot boat of my dream this boat is a steal but it has been sittiing for four years.
it has a pair of volvo penta aq 140 main engines with stern drives. *y my delima is should i spend the money on rebuilding these two engines or try to repower or upgrade . what would be the most cost effective and about how much w are we looking at spending to do such * c

A few things here. Why do you need to rebuild those engines? Have you or someone tested and verify the condion of those engines? And are you sure they are AQ140 and not AQ145 engines? The AQ140 comes with sidedraft Solex carbs, but the ones in the picture are downdraft Solex carbs.
