My 2000 Volvo Penta 5.0 GL sta

My 2000 Volvo Penta 5.0 GL started to overheat after about 10 minuets of running at 1500 RPMs. What is the best way to troubleshoot the problem?
 
"Several causes of overheating

"Several causes of overheating: defective raw water pump impeller, defective thermostat, fouled water intake in outdrive, choked exhaust manifolds/risers. I would start checking the raw water pump impeller and take it from there."
