I have rebuilt an MD2B and have been working out some bugs in it. One of those is that when the engine is warmed up the starter has difficulty turning it over. I believe this may be caused by early fuel injection timing possibly being the result of crude measuring instruments or gasket compression or both. I'm proposing adding a .005 gasket under the injection pump thinking that would delay the timing. Not very professional and kinda trial and error but all I can think to do with my limited resources. Anyone with experience timing these engines?
