Volvo 2000 DP S Trim Sending Unit

"am just going over the boat before launch and found that exhaust bellows needed to be replaced. Purchased and putting back on tomorrow. What I did finf is the white wire coming from the sending unit was broken. I reconnectd the wires with a spice, but have no reading on the trim gauge (only full up position) even though unit is in full down position. Any suggestions."

"I would make sure that there is continuity in the splice (use an ohm meter) and also that you have not swapped the wires. Fuerhter, make sure that the sending unit works (you will need an ohm meter to verify that)."
