on my mcm 260/898 i just put in pertronics conv. and flame thrower coil. i wasn't positive of the existing wiring, but i think i hav it right. all except the purple wire is taped off. and i know some of the diagrams show that wire taped off, but mine wasn't before. i just don't remember where it went. i'm thinking it was on the coil. right now i have 2 dark brown wires on + and 2 light brown wires on -.
that may have nothing to do with my problem, which is that with key on, but not running i have 4-5 volts on coil. when running i have 10 volts. shouldn't it be 12v and 9 when running. i'm checking"
